Cold Drawing Facilities

Utilizing the most modern cold rolling facilities, polished steel bar production is being carried out in accordance with EN10278, Industry 4.0 standard with round, hexagonal, square and special cross-section shapes. The ending parts of the bars would be chamfered on demand, by an up to date chamfering machine integrated into the production line machineries.

Cold drawing, is a plastic forming process applied to metals or metal alloys at temperatures lower than their recrystallization ones.

It is the process of reducing the cross-sectional diameter of steel wire by drawing through successively smaller dies without previously heating the material, thereby increasing its tensile strength, flexibility as well as providing it with more smoother surface.

First, the process of sandblasting would implement in which the bar surface would be cleaned to remove the undesirable layers on the hot rolled bar outer parts. In such process, the sandblasting is achieved by spraying high-pressure steel granules onto the bar surface. Then, the cleaned bars would pass through molds called “seals” with appropriate sizes. The cold drawn products exiting the drawing process also would pass through special cylindrical rollers subjected to the straightening process. Finally, the products would been cut to the desired lengthens, got polished and chamfered on customer demand.
