BEARING STEELS
Bearing Steels are completely hard from the surface to the core, as there is a high amount of carbon in their chemical component, so they could break under impact or loads. Bearing steels are used in the production of frictionless, wear-resistant point & linear contact parts of sliding surfaces and moving parts rolling on each other. Bearings; apart from abrasion, are exposed to very high pressure, tension and vibrations.
Bearing steels are used in roller bearing parts as well as parts requiring high fatigue strength like diesel injection parts. Grades 100Cr6 and 100CrMn6 of them are widely used and more common. The hardness levels reached by these steels could also be used for cutting, slitting, grinding applications. They are used in production of rail wheels, bearings, special rollers and balls.
100Cr6, 100CrMn6, 20MnCr5, 20NiCrMo2, 16MnCr5 bearing steels could be produced in standard lengths of 3-6 meter and special sizes in accordance with TS EN 10278 Dimensions & Tolerances Standard.
