MICRO ALLOYED STEELS

Micro alloying means the process of adding Niobium (Nb), Vanadium (V), and Titanium (Ti) at very low level. Micro alloyed steels (HSLA = high strength low alloyed) have been developed as high strength alloyed steels resulted from the insufficient strength of structural steels. These steels also provide the materials with high yield-tensile strength, lightness, good cold formability and a perfect welding capability.

Fine grained steels are used in large structures like pressure vessels made of Micro Alloy Steel, spherical tanks, heat exchangers, bridges, and expansion warehouses of nuclear power plants.

From the production point of view, 10V45, 38MnSiVSi, 30MnVS6, 38MnVS6, SAE1141 micro-alloyed steels could be produced in standard lengths of 3-6 meter and special sizes in accordance with TS EN 10278 Dimensions & Tolerances Standard.
